Online Young Academics Skills Training Course

These events allow students and academics from partner universities to participate together in virtual research training sessions. Young researchers will be instructed in research techniques, especially in relation to interdisciplinary research focusing on the EU's impacts in the Asia-Pacific and will be able to interact with fellow researchers from around the region who are participating in the same projects while mastering their own research skills. It is planned that a research training session will take place once a year.

These sessions work through the methodology and background of the research, information on data collection and collation and also analysis and writing of the results. It is planned that the training will be cumulative with each session building on the knowledge of the previous session. However, the training will be inclusive in nature allowing students to participate who had not attended previous sessions, as the aim is to build capacity in all interested students and allow as many students as possible the opportunity to work on collaborative research projects where they will work alongside students from other countries as well as with the academic principle investigators on the project.
